 Welcome to UltraCDL Minimize

UltraCDL is a highly configurable software application designed to give you the information you need in a convenient and easy to read interface. It gives you an enormous amount of flexibility in setting up how the available inputs are displayed - everything for setting up min/max values, redlines, engine cylinders/stroke, wideband oxygen sensor units, fuel type, and heaps more!

The Dashboard mode shows readings for any three inputs in realtime, and lets you easily switch between text-only, scrolling graph and analogue gauge views so you can choose the mode that works best for your needs.

Need to read and log data from multiple devices at the same time?... no problem! UltraCDL's flexible plugin system allows data to be streamed from multiple hardware devices and display them side-by-side on the one screen.

Don't like ugly wires?... go Bluetooth and stream your data wirelessly.

Features:

  • Dashboard mode that can display data from any three inputs simultaneously, and switch between numeric text, scrolling graph and analogue gauge, all with customisable redline and warning markers.
  • Peak Hold/Recall which will display the peak readings for any input at the press of a button. You can either enable peak hold during testing and watch the display 'lock' to the highest recoded values, or just recall the peak value at the end of testing.
  • Data Logging to on-board memory or removable storage card. Logfiles are in standard comma-separated format which is supported by programs like Microsoft Excel and many popular logging packages, such as WinLog.
  • Multiple data sources means that you can display data from your ECU, GPS and other devices simultaneously. UltraCDL currently supports the Nissan Consult data stream, TechEdge v1.5 and v2.0 devices, and any NMEA compliant GPS device, but support for more devices will be introduced in the future.
  • All TechEdge User inputs are individually configurable for temperature / volatge (when supported by hardware).
  • Supports TEWBLog Gauge Configuration files for TechEdge user inputs.
  • Data logging to PocketPC™ onboard memory or external memory (such as SD Card) for almost unlimited recording time.
  • Optionally logs TechEdge data in TEWBLog format, so you can load the data straight into TEWBLog software for analysis on your PC or laptop.
  • Bluetooth support for logging and displaying data wirelessly.

 Why Use UltraCDL? Minimize

UltraCDL runs on highly portable PocketPC devices, and gives you access to a wealth of information about your car or bike.  It is ideal for:

  • Realtime analysis of true widband Air-Fuel Ratios and other engine parameters, such as RPM, intake/exhaust temperature, boost pressure etc
  • Far more portable than a Laptop computer. A PocketPC device can be securely mounted so that it is in the driver's field of view.  Laptops can slip around and could be damaged easily in an emergency situaton or under high cornering loads.
  • Use it on the Dyno to tune Air-Fuel Ratios, check for engine misses or lean-outs, over-boosting or overheating.
  • Take it to track days/testing sessions to use as a data logger.  Logs can then be reviewed and analysed in detail later on a PC or laptop.
  • Keep it in your car everyday and monitor engine parameters in real-world driving conditions.

UltraCDL 2.0 is now available for download! Minimize

UltraCDL Standard with new Analogue Gauge displayUltraCDL just became even more flexible! Version 2.0 has been re-designed to work with a number of different wideband and vehicle data acquisition interfaces to provide you with the most compact and versatile data logging and display package for your Windows Mobile or Windows Phone device!

It's the perfect companion for the car or bike enthusiast who wants to be able to see in realtime what their vehicle is doing and then data log everything so that they can review it in detail on their PC or laptop.

Current software plug-ins for UltraCDL allow you to read data from the following hardware:

  • Nissan Consult data stream using a Consult cable such as that made by PLMS Developments.
  • NMEA GPS, either internal or external Bluetooth. 5Hz GPS devices such as the QStarz 818X are also supported, allowing for very accurate speed and bearing readings.
  • TechEdge devices using the v1.5 and 2.0 frame formats. Wideband readings are configurable for a wide range of different fuel types, and user inputs are fully configurable with custom lookup tables to map voltage to meaningful units.
  • Support for Innovate wideband devices will be coming soon, so stay tuned.

New features for Version 2.0 include:

  • Re-designed menu layout to follow Windows Mobile 5 style guidelines.
  • Analogue gauge display option for primary input display.
  • Modular plug-in framework to support several simultaneous data sources - .NET programmers can even write their own plug-in to work with UltraCDL!
  • Improved Peak Hold/Recall feature that is more accurate and now shows the minimum Air-Fuel ratio instead of the maximum reading.

If you have a feature request or would like an UltraCDL plugin written for your hardware, please email feedback@ultracdl.com

Take me to the download!
